Jewish Family Service of the Lehigh Valley is sponsoring the Phyllis Ringel Memorial Lecture on Sunday, May 3, at 3:00p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Kassych Pavillion, Room 6.
The lecture is an opportunity for seniors and their loved ones to learn from Dr. Scott Berman what healthful aging means and the practical resources we can call upon to age in place with well-being.
Scott Berman, M.D., is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist who earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He did his psychiatric residency at Hahnemann University Hospital. He was the director of an acute care psychiatry inpatient unit in Connecticut and an adjunct professor of pharmacology at Connecticut College of Pharmacy. He came to the Lehigh Valley in 1996 to practice geriatric psychiatry and teach medical students and residents. Dr. Berman no longer sees patients privately, but he continues to teach and consult.
The talk is free of charge.
