The impact of New Age religion on the American religious landscape has been documented by many who study these trends. Less work has been done on how this spiritual revolution has affected American Judaism. In this talk, Dr. Magid will suggest that contemporary Jewish spirituality in America has been profoundly affected by New Age religion. One consequence has been the dismantling of the myth of monotheism that Jews have often used to differentiate Judaism from other religions. In some circles this new Judaism has entered a post-monotheistic phase through its creative and sometimes radical re-reading of the Jewish mystical tradition. Free Admission and Open to the Public
